White peaches
This is the sweetest type of peaches, and Italy is the largest producer after China. Those grown in Romagna also boast the PGI label.
Moving to nutritional values, peaches are high in potassium, phosphorous, magnesium and calcium. They also show a fairly good concentration of Vitamin C: 6.6 mg per 100 g of product. The amount of simple sugars found in white peaches is quite high: 8.4 g per 100 of product.
Grown in Romagna and Campania, the white peach varieties of Granfrutta Zani are available from June to August.
